As a practicing physician, health system builder and entrepreneur, Dr. Iwasaki grounds his innovation in real patient experiences. He has worked in tribal communities for over 10 years adding to his prior work in developing countries. His company partners with tribal communities to implement and operate telehealth programs increasing access to healthcare in some of the most rural parts of the United States. Over the past two years, without advertising or marketing, his company has grown to serve tribal communities totally over 200,000 people and counting.
Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?
A: We continue to be motivated by the stories of our patients. Patients reveal they've waited years for the services we've provided. Or, a parent says "thank you" for providing their child with care that might change the trajectory of their life.
