Dr. Adeiyewunmi (Ade) Osinubi is a documentary filmmaker, writer, and an Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at the University of Pennsylvania. She independently produced the award-winning documentary “Black Motherhood through the Lens,” has published articles in the Washington Post, HuffPost, Essence and Teen Vogue on health equity topics, and is the founder of Creatives for Social Change in Medicine, an initiative that teaches students and health professionals how to use media to advance health equity. Due to her efforts, she was the recipient of the 2024 Boston Celtics Heroes Among Us Award, the 2022 National Minority Quality Forum 40 under 40 Leader in Health Award, among others.


Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?

A: Black and Brown women continue to face a host of inequities in many sectors of health, especially in the areas of reproductive and mental health. As a Black woman physician, this motivates me to make healthcare safer and more equitable for all.
